Finished this one tonight, it's an experiment to see if i can find colors that vibrate against each other, called "simultaneous contrast". i painted this on a standard hollow door, it's 30" X 80" and could be used as a door or a tabletop, though i'm going to be displaying it as a painting at my upcoming show on Nov 1.

New show up at Athens Academy through Dec. 11
Showing in the Bertelsmann Gallery...works by me, Carol John and Didi Dunphy. The three of us make up half of A.D.D., this is our second group show and i think our art works beautifully together. Sorry i don't have more images from the show. i'll be there tomorrow taking photos and will post them here.

Athens Food and Culture
Our little town, which for its size has a pretty awesome dining selection, not to mention the independent foodies what with the Four Coursemen and the Farmer's Market and all the local farms, now has a sweet magazine to go with all that. They did an article on my work in this month's issue and i'm happy how the color printing makes my paintings look, really bright and poppy. The article is on page 24 if you're interested in reading it, mom.

I don't dezerve this kind of Love
i found someone's notepad on my walk to the studio tonight. there is no name in it, and i have no way of returning it. i'm pretty sure it belonged to a man. it smells like cologne and there are a lot of football scores written in it. Listed amongst phone numbers, inspirational quotes and bills to pay are various grocery items... crotons, bacon bitts and srimp on one page, foot powder, air freasher, Aqua freash whittening, shampoo, condionar, and next to the words "I trust God" he'd put Extenz on his shopping list. Near the back of the book hidden in the unused pages, "I don't dezerve this kind of Love ".
